Zhou Xiaohu | Military Exercises Camping – Sentry Post Cinema | 2009-2014

Einen Höhepunkt der Ausstellung stellt zweifellos Zhou Xiaohu's 16 Meter lange Tunnel-Inszenierung dar, die vom Besucher begangen werden kann. Im Inneren wird er konfrontiert mit medialen Bildern internationaler Krisenherde und in die Illusion versetzt, mit den "Mächtigen" der Welt direkt in Dialog treten zu können.

Wenn man alle ihre acht offiziellen Alben in einer Nacht hört, dann werden vierzig Jahre zu einem Tag. Es gibt darin nichts Gestriges. Zu keinem Moment klingt ihre Musik veraltet oder überholt. Wir sollten unsere Vorstellung von Kunst neu justieren. Was Gerhard Richter und Anselm Kiefer machen, was an der Filmgeschichte gut war, was gute Texte sind und die Musik von Kraftwerk – alles zusammen hat eine Kugelgestalt.
